Julien Xuereb has years of experience performing at weddings, creating a seamless and memorable experience with a blend of elegant instrumental music and engaging vocal performances. From the moment guests arrive to the final dance, your day will flow naturally with a light, welcoming Prelude, a Ceremony filled with meaningful music, a lively Cocktail Hour, and a Dinner or Reception that balances elegance and entertainment.
The Prelude
Wedding music typically begins with a 15–30 minute Prelude, setting the mood as guests arrive and take their seats. The Prelude is usually instrumental, with recommended repertoire including classical guitar or smooth improvised jazz.

The Ceremony
The Ceremony is fully customizable to reflect your unique vision. You may select music from a pre-curated list (see below) or request a favorite piece that holds special meaning. The processional is traditionally slow and solemn, while the recessional is often more joyful and celebratory. Additional selections can also be included for the bridal party or as an interlude. Depending on the venue layout, it may be helpful for the wedding planner or officiant to provide cues to the musician to ensure perfect timing.

Cocktail Hour
The Cocktail Hour sets a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Julien can bring this to life by singing timeless hits from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s along with beloved French classics, or by creating vibrant instrumental Latin beats with a looper pedal and handheld percussion. Vocals naturally draw more attention to the performer, while instrumental music provides an elegant backdrop for conversation.

Dinner
Dinner repertoire builds on the Cocktail Hour selections, with a stronger emphasis on vocal performances to create a warm and engaging atmosphere. The first dance is fully customizable, allowing you to choose music that perfectly reflects your story and style.

Planning
Thoughtful communication ensures your wedding unfolds seamlessly. Julien is deeply committed to crafting a memorable musical experience, and sharing your expectations with him—while introducing him to your event team, including the planner, venue staff, DJ, caterer, and officiant—helps everything flow effortlessly. For special song requests, providing at least 15 days’ notice allows Julien to prepare and tailor the music uniquely to your celebration.
